New Site, Same Story: Let's Dive In


 Hello, and welcome to my new blog. Here you will find: Historical Deep Dives, particularly the Victorian era, updates on my writing journey, behind the scenes including cover reveals, book updates, and launch dates, and occasionally recommended reading of other Victorian Mystery books. 

You might be wondering why I switched from a full blown website to a simple blog, and I feel that this is much easier to maintain. Plus, the post scheduling gives me more flexibility when it comes to actual writing. I will be normally posting every Wednesday, to share something with you all. 

Last week, I was focused on the cover reveal, of my upcoming prequel to Guilty Deceptions, called Before the deception, I also released the first trailer for the book. I have also been focusing on my socials and today, I built this blog to replace the old system. 

All updates and announcements will be posted on this blog, as well as brief information about my books, as well as where to find them when they become available. This will be the go to place for this information, so feel free to follow the blog for updates. 

What's in store for me next week?

Well, starting Monday, I will set to work on Guilty Deceptions, it still needs some work before the fall, so this has to take up 90% of my time. I will be also following up with my beta readers, and hopefully get the feedback in, so I can manage the final tweaks to Before the Deception before it's launch. It's going to be a long process, and a lot of work involved, so I am going to be really busy over the next few months. 

Because of that, today I will focus on scheduling blog posts for the next couple of weeks. If you need to get in touch with me, I am on my socials daily, and I also check my email twice a day. 

My social media content, for Facebook, will be posted mainly on Wednesdays, and Thursdays midday, and Sunday evenings. Though I will check my Facebook page daily, and reply to comments, and comment on whatever comes up in my news feed. Monday and and Friday will be promo days, and Tuesday and Saturday will be no posts at all. 

For my social media content on X, will be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Though again I will check X at least twice daily, and also comment, share and like posts that I see. 

I will post to Pinterest and Instagram once daily, and YouTube will be upon trailer releases only for now. Might start doing my YouTube exclusive video content again, but not at this time. Probably after the release of Guilty Deceptions.

Behind the Scenes: The Long Journey of Guilty Deceptions

  I first had the idea for Guilty Deceptions way back around 2012 or 2013 when I had read about an old case from the 1800s, that piqued my interest. In the beginning, I had aimed for a tell all book about the case from point A to point B. straight forward, with no fiction at all. I found that version rather boring and dull. Something was also eating at me, it was a simple question in my mind: How back then, did they know for sure they even got this case right? With that idea in mind, I had started crafting early versions of Guilty deceptions, which had at one time been called: The Murder in Willow Grove, and Beneath the Shrubs.
